For our first group project, the senior class was asked to help move the preschool supplies, such as toys, books, and other classroom utilities to the Presbyterian church. I first had to label which toys belong to the church and which toys were brought over from the school. In the second picture, Megg and I were cleaning out a cabinet in a the preschool and looking for any water damage. In the third image, the senior class took a little break in the basement of the church.

For our second group project, the senior class helped clean up the town for the Chisholm Trail Festival in May. We dusted artifacts in the museum, swept the floors, moved tables and chairs around, and swept and picked trash off the streets.
I was also put in charge of cleaning and setting up the booth in the Chamber of Commerce office. I vacuumed the floors, dusted off the shelves and tables, and help set up the Caldwell Chisholm Trail Festival merchandise and souvenirs. Date: May 3, 2018 Hours: 3 |
For our final group hour project, the seniors were asked to organize a Wellness Night for students Preschool through fifth grade. We had to set a time and date for this event, come up with activities for the kids to participate in, and keep the kids involved and active.
It required a lot of energy, but it was worth it seeing the kids being active and having fun. Date: September 26, 2018 Hours: 3 |
For my first individual hour activity, I assisted Lesly Blosser coaching the Preschool soccer team. I was in charge of the "follow the leader" warm up activity before we started our practices. I also helped demonstrate the different techniques and explain some of the rules in the game of soccer. During the games, I ran up and down the field and directed my team towards our goal. Since we had eight players and only five could be on the field at once, I had to keep track of who all got to play and who all sat out. Date(s): April 2, 19, 26, 28, 2018 Hours: 7 |

My second individual activity involved coaching, yet again. This time, I helped Karlee Schmidt and Kaityn Dvorak coach the 8U softball team. I helped lead many drills in practice and even taught some of the girls how to throw a softball. For our games, I stayed in the dugout and told the girls who was next up in the batting lineup. I also had to make sure the girls had the proper helmet and bat before I sent them out. Date(s): May 24, 26, 29, 31, 2018 - June 4, 5, 9, 25, 28, 2018 Hours: 10.75 |
For my next activity, I hosted the Blood Drive held at the New Fair Building here in town. I was in charge of hanging flyers, calling people and asking for donations, and recruiting people to help at this event.
On the day of, I set up tables, chairs, and helped the nurses set up their stations. After everything was set up, I sat at the front desk and checked in everyone who had scheduled appointments. Afterwards, I cleaned up the building and helped the American Red Cross nurses load up their supplies in their van. Date(s): July 9, 2018 Hours: 6 |

I already collected all of my required hours, but I decided to volunteer at the Art Exhibit at the Sumner County Fair. For this event, I was in charge of doing the entrees for this exhibit. I had to organize each work of art by age group and by the different categories each painting was completed in. After all of the art was separated in piles, we hung it up and organized it even more. We were tested to our limits when we got numerous entrees coming all at once, but we got it all organized with very few mistakes. Date(s): August 1, 2, 2018 Hours: 11.75 |
